The Observatory Science Centre is open every day from 10 am - 6 pm (last admission 4 pm).
The Zany Zone is an area of crafty experiments. Create colour
and experiment, build a pipe cannon, and be amazed by puzzles
and weird kitchen science.
Time: 11am – 4pm.
Normal admission charges apply, plus an extra £1 per child
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

During the local half term holiday (Monday 26th May - Friday 30th May) we aim to offer 3 Telescope Tours per day (12, 2 and 4 pm) and 3 Bubble Science Shows (11am, 1 and 3pm).
There is no additional charge
for these shows and tours.
Although the weather forecast may not be the best, cool and damp conditions will be
best for our bubble mixture.... come and see if we can make the longest bubbles
and you may even have the opportunity to stand inside a bubble!

Fantastic fun series of ‘Make n’ Take’ half-day workshops for children aged 6-10 years. Sessions from 10.30am – 1pm or 2pm – 4.30pm.
Which goes faster, gravity power, balloon power, propellers or solar power? Come and build your own car and hovercraft to find out.
Cost £8.95 per session unless otherwise stated.
Workshops are limited to a maximum of 24 children per
session.
