The Ecology Zone is open on specific days throughout the summer holidays ONLY.
This year we will continue to share the fabulous ideas of Richard Sheen who developed the Ecology Zone. His legacy will live on in the many activities Richard developed for the Centre.
Inside the Ecology Zone, there will be things to draw and colour, you will be able to make a beautiful felt butterfly mosaic and you will be able to look at intriguing insects through a microscope. We also have some fascinating displays to show the different types of habitats in the county together with information about where you can see the diverse plant and animal life. For those interested in the geology that helped to create the different habitats, there is information about the 'Wealden Dome' and detailed geology maps of the county.
Alongside all this there will be digital microscopes and a chance to make origami paper plant pots; activities we are still running for Operation Earth.
There is NO extra charge for this activity. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. These activities may change at short notice. Open on specific days only between 11am and 4pm
No booking required
