Earth & Beyond Twilight
Wednesday 30 October 2024: Twilight workshop for 9-11 years. What makes volcanoes blow, the Earth quake and the icecaps melt? What is in space and how do we know? This workshops looks at our dynamic Earth and how we look beyond Earth into space using a telescope. If the weather is clear we may even get to look at the magnificent Moon and the planet.

This fabulous photograph shows a view of Earth from Space. It shows the thin blue line of our atmosphere which keeps us alive and protected from all the dangerous stuff in Space; wow that line looks pretty thin how can that protect us? We can learn all sorts of things about Earth from photographs like these. We can also learn all sorts of things about Space too both from Earth based telescopes and from telescopes out in Space.
Come and join us to find out some fascinating facts about Earth through some very cool experiments, including ice bergs and then we can look beyond Earth to the wider Universe.
