We have a Spectacular daily programme of activities for the local school holiday including Telescope Tours and Science Shows.
Once you have paid your admission there is no extra charge for these tours / shows and they take place through the day: just ask for the times when you arrive.
This holiday we are presenting 'Down to Earth' science show.
On Friday 21st February, we have an extended session with an emphasis on astronomy...
We will be hoping for clear skies and viewing through historic telescopes; but cannot control the weather!
Last admission 6 pm. Cafe closes 6.30 pm.
We are delighted to offer planetarium style presentations on Friday 21st February ... We are projecting onto the ceiling inside a telescope dome- NOT using the inflatable dome.
Timed presentations throughout the day additional £2 pp: max 35 people per presentations. Tickets can be purchased at reception when you arrive (subject to availability)

The Launch Box catering unit will be open for breakfast baps and weekday lunchtimes serving delicious burgers & fries, hotdogs etc. PLEASE NOTE: This unit is not a franchise- it is operated by us and every purchase helps to support our charity ...
The Cafe will be open for drinks, sausage rolls, snacks and ice creams.
If The Launch Box is closed we will be serving light bites (toasties and jackets etc) from The Cafe.
Our Gift Shop will be open and we have a great range of science and astronomy related merchandise.
We also have a 'Donated Books' area, with books from just 50 pence... book donations always welcome!

Parking for February half term is the car park on Wartling Road...
Please do NOT park on any grass in or around the Herstmonceux Estate.
Ground conditions are muddy.
Blue Badge parking is behind the main science centre building but there is limited space for just 4 vehicles.

Some areas / counties have their mid term holiday in a different week to East Sussex.
We are not open every day outside of local school holidays, so please check with us for the latest dates and availability...
